Kyrie Irving bought a house for the family of George Floyd, according to the former NBA player Stephen Jackson.
Jackson, who was a close friend to the late Floyd, revealed that Irving, alongside other celebrities, put effort to help George’s family. “Kyrie Irving bought them a house. Lil Wayne’s manager bought them a Mercedes-Benz. Barbra Streisand gave them stock in Disney,” Jackson said.
After George Floyd was brutally killed in May, Irving had been active in the court on social justice matters. He gave his family the money for the house about five or six months ago.
Last week, while being away from the Brooklyn Nets, Kyrie joined a ZOOM call with the others who were showing support for the Manhattan district attorney candidate.
Irving has missed seven games in a row due to a combination of personal reasons and NBA COVID-19 protocols. Former NBA champion will join James Harden and Kevin Durant as a part of the new super-team in the East. He is averaging 27.1 PPG, 5.3 RPG, along with 6.1 APG in five games he played for the Nets this season.
