Portugal are looking for the first win in Group B after two draws as they travel to Serbia tonight, so have a look at our EURO Qualification Betting Tip for this intriguing clash. Neither side can afford to lose this game as Ukraine already collected ten points from four matches. It means that we’re going to have an exciting tilt that could go either way. Portugal drew the first two games at home and failed to impress thus far while Serbia is playing with a new head coach – Ljubisa Tumbakovic.

Serbia Team News and Latest Form

It’s been a pretty solid run of form for Serbia after losing just one of their previous ten matches (W5, D4, L1). Most recently, their matches have been high scoring affairs, with three of the last five seeing exactly five match goals. Additionally, Serbia won two of those three games by the same 4-1 scoreline.

Ljubisa Tumbakovic’s side have proven pretty robust at home in recent times. They have avoided defeat in each of their previous four home fixtures (W3, D1) while scoring two or more goals in each. Frustratingly for them, however, they have conceded at least one goal in each of those matches, with four of their five goals conceded coming in between the 60th-75th minute.

Aleksandar Mitrović scored twice in his most recent appearance for Serbia and has five goals in his previous five club matches. Serbia haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last six games.

Portugal Team News and Latest Form

Portugal also boast a pretty impressive record and are unbeaten in their previous ten matches (W5, D5). Meanwhile, on the road, their recent away games have shared similar traits. Two of the last three saw them score precisely three goals with them netting their opening goal between the 30th-45th minute.

The reigning European Champions have won two of the previous three H2H meetings with their opponents (W2, D1) – both wins came by the same 2-1 scoreline. All three fixtures also saw a goal scored inside the opening 15 minutes.

Portugal hero Cristiano Ronaldo has three goals in his previous two international appearances, and he scored for Juventus last weekend. Three of those four highlighted goals came after the 60th minute. Portugal have conceded a goal after the 75th minute in two of their previous three away matches.

Serbia vs Portugal Head to Head

The rivals have met five times since 2007, and Portugal currently leads the all-time series with two wins while three games ended as a draw. The previous duel finished 1-1 in Portugal; Dusan Tadic opened the scoring from the penalty spot while Danilo Pereira equalized before halftime. The two previous H2H meetings produced 15 cards (13 yellow and two red), so expect a feisty affair tonight as well.

Serbia vs Portugal EURO Qualification Betting Tip

This matchup is somewhat unpredictable and considering that both teams are seeking three points, I expect to see a lot of excitement. This excitement could lead to plenty of rough tackles and yellow cards, and given the history between two rivals, I am going with Over 4.5 cards at 1.61 (-163). My additional EURO Qualification Betting Tip for the tilt between Serbia and Portugal is Anytime Draw at 1.70 (-142). However, my main pick for this encounter is BTTS at 1.80 (-125) because it was the case in each previous H2H duel. Also, check out our betting tip for the matchup between England and Bulgaria.
