We didn’t have much of luck with our Champions League Betting Tips for Tuesday, but we’re going to have a lot more success today as six teams take the field on Wednesday, August 21.
Dinamo Zagreb are favourites as they welcome Rosenborg
The Croatian champions destroyed Ferencvaros on the road in the previous round of qualifiers as they secured a 4-0 win (1-1 in the 1st leg). Dinamo are in an 11-game unbeaten run, and they are 1.60 (-167) favourites tonight, but it’s not going to be easy against Rosenborg.
The Norwegians also didn’t have troubles in the last round as they beat Maribor 6-2 on aggregate. They scored at least a goal in each of their past 13 matches, and although they are underdogs in this one, I am backing them to find a back of the net here as well. The 2.00 (+100) odds on both teams to score are quite attractive, and I am not going to pass on this opportunity to double my stake.
Krasnodar hoping for another scalp in Piraeus
Krasnodar are travelling to Greece to take on Olympiacos after eliminating European giants Porto in one of the biggest surprises in these qualifications. They managed to overcome a 1-0 deficit from the opening leg and beat Porto 3-2 in Portugal to advance to the final. The Russians scored five goals in the last two games, and they will be looking to get minimum one in Athens.
Olympiacos is in an excellent form at the start of this season as they still didn’t allow a single goal in five matches. They kept their net intact against Plzen and Basaksehir, but I don’t think they will do it again against a strong Russian side. It’s about time for the Greeks to concede a goal finally, and that’s why I am going with BTTS at 2.00 (+100). The hosts will be without injured Konstantinos Fortounis, who was the team’s top scorer last year, but I am sure they will also score tonight.
A tight clash expected in Bern
Young Boys are favourites at 1.83 (-120) as they welcome Crvena Zvezda to the Stade de Suisse in Bern, but the Serbian champions are playing well at the moment, and I wouldn’t bet on the home side to win here. The hosts will be missing Guillaume Hoarau and Miralem Sulejmani who combined for 39 goals in 2018-19. This is a good chance for the visitors to get a positive result.
Crvena Zvezda defeated FC Copenhagen on penalties in the last round, and even though I don’t think they will leave Switzerland without conceding a goal or two, I am backing them to score at least one. Young Boys’ defence is not particularly sturdy, and despite the fact they recorded a clean sheet in three of the previous five games, I am backing BTTS at +2.00 (+100).
