In the following Fantasy Premier League Preview article we will give you some players you could transfer in and out for GW2. The 2019-20 Fantasy Premier League season began last weekend, and we already saw some surprising results and a few players who could be taken into consideration for Week 2.
Fantasy Premier League Preview: Top Transfers in Week 2
Following the opening round of the Premier League, thousands of Fantasy Premier League managers decided to make changes to their respective lineups. David de Gea’s impressive display in Manchester United’s 4-0 win over Chelsea was enough for more than 330,000 managers to take him in for Gameweek 2. Also, his teammates Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial were quite popular among the managers as over 480,000 of them decided to give them a chance for the road game against Wolves. Manchester City’s Ederson and Raheem Sterling are also the ones you should take a closer look at while we will give you a few more sleepers for the upcoming Week 2.
Norwich City are welcoming Newcastle United, and striker Teemu Pukki already scored against Liverpool at Anfield. He could be a solid addition, and for the price of 6.0, you will find it hard to get another forward on a cheap.
Careful with Adrian
Liverpool’s second-choice goalkeeper Adrian entered the game against the Canaries when Alisson suffered a calf injury in the first half. He did allow a goal, but if you have faith in the best defence of the 2018-19 campaign, you could add Adrian for 4.5. However, we must inform you that Adrian sustained a minor ankle injury during the celebration of European Super Cup victory over Chelsea, so Jurgen Klopp could decide to leave him on the bench.
Brighton will face uninspiring West Ham United at home, and keeper Matt Ryan is another right choice at 4.5 price. Ryan recorded a clean sheet in an unexpected 3-0 road win over Watford, and he has another chance to do it again at Amex Stadium.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles could be a steal for GW2, not only because of his assist in Week 1 but because he is priced at 5.0. Another good reason is the one that Arsenal are playing Burnley at home so that offensive full-back could be helpful in the offence again.
His teammate, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is among the most expensive players in the Fantasy Premier League at 11.0, but if you are looking for a striker who could collect a bunch of points – the Gambian is your man.
FPL Preview: Top Transfers out Week 2
More than 900,000 FPL managers cut Liverpool’s goalkeeper Alisson after his injury in GW1, so in case you haven’t, you must do it right away. Selling him means that you will get a chance to invest in another outfield player or goalkeeper.
Bernardo Silva is also struggling with an injury, and almost 280,000 managers sold him before GW2, and my advice is to get Riyad Mahrez instead. The Algerian recorded three assists in Week 1 victory over the Hammers.
More than 270,000 managers gave up on Wolves striker Raul Jimenez and Bournemouth’s playmaker Ryan Fraser, but I would keep them in the squad for at least few more rounds. Finally, Andy Robertson was dropped by 132,000+ managers; however, it’s only a matter of time when the Scotsman starts with his assists and clean sheets, so don’t give up on him yet.
