We bring you more ATP Cincinnati Masters betting picks and tips for the round-of-32 matches set for this Wednesday, August 14, 2019. There are a lot of interesting duels on today’s schedule, and we had a difficult task to choose three best bets for our daily parlay.
Kei Nishikori vs. Yoshihito Nishioka
Interestingly, these two Japanese players will take on each other for the first time at the ATP Tour. Nishikori is a 1.35 fave to beat Nishioka, and I expect him to satisfy the odds. Kei came to Cincinnati as World No. 5 and will be highly motivated to bounce back from a first-round exit in Montreal last week.
On the other side, Nishioka defeated John Millman and Joao Sousa in the qualifying rounds for Cincinnati Masters, while World No. 77 outlasted Jordan Thompson in three sets in the first round. Nishioka is 12-14 this season, while Nishikori won 27 of his 39 matches in 2019.
Jan-Lennard Struff vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas
Stefanos Tsitsipas is another player who suffered a first-round loss in Montreal, and World No. 7 will have a tall task against World No. 36 Jan-Lennard Struff who beat Ivo Karlovic in the opener. This will be their third meeting of the season, and each guy has been victorious once.
Howsoever, Tsitsipas defeated Struff on a hard court, while the German beat the Greek on clay. Therefore, I’m backing Tsitsipas to win here at 1.55 odds. Tsitsipas is 20-9 on a hard court this season, while Struff is 10-9 on a hard court in 2019 and just 61-67 in his career.
Richard Gasquet vs. Federico Delbonis
World No. 66 Federico Delbonis entered a main draw in Cincinnati as a lucky loser. He’s a typical clay-court player with a 25-51 record on a hard court. Therefore, I’m backing Richard Gasquet to win at 1.35 odds even though he’s far away from his top form since returning from an injury in May.
Likewise, Delbonis has been playing well lately, but only on a clay court, while Gasquet defeated Benoit Paire and Kei Nishikori in Montreal last week before losing to Roberto Bautista Agut in the round of 16. Furthermore, Gasquet is 14-4 in his last 18 encounters with the left-handers. This will be the first duel between Delbonis and Gasquet.
