Daily Football Betting Preview and Picks for Sunday, August 4, 2019

Posted by

Saturday was full of intriguing betting picks which is not the case with Sunday’s schedule. It’s fine to skip a day occasionally, but we still have a few games to show you. Hereof, let’s take a look at our football betting picks of the day.

Gent vs. Eupen

Gent started its Jupiler Pro League campaign with a 1-1 stalemate at Charleroi this past Sunday. Meanwhile, the Buffalos lost at Viitorul Constanta 2-1 in the second leg of the Europa League second qualifying round, still reaching the third round thanks to a 6-3 victory in the first leg at home.

On the other side, Eupen opened the season with a 4-1 loss to Antwerp. The Pandas are massive 8.00 underdogs to beat Gent, and they lost seven of their ten head-to-head duels with the Buffalos. Likewise, seven of those ten tilts saw three or more goals in the total.

Nine of Gent’s last 11 games at home had at least three goals in the total. The Buffalos prefer an attacking approach, while Eupen’s defense seems pretty fragile, so I’m backing the goals on this one.

My Pick: Over 2.5 Goals at 1.55

Syrianska vs. Trelleborgs

After the first 17 rounds of the Swedish Superettan, both Syrianska and Trelleborgs are sitting just above the danger zone. The betting trends are suggesting a low-scoring affair. Syrianska’s last three games and five of Trelleborgs’ previous six contests had two or more goals in the total.

Likewise, five of the last seven H2H meetings saw fewer than three goals in the total. However, in their first duel of the season, Syrianska defeated Trelleborgs on the road 2-1, so I think we will see at three goals on this one.

Syrianska’s defense is one of the worst in the league, allowing 28 goals so far. Also, Syrianska allowed 15 goals in eight outings at home, while Trelleborgs has a 10:14 goal difference in eight showings on the road.

My Pick: Over 2.5 Goals at 1.75

Sogndal vs. Ull/Kisa

While Sogndal has a 28:25 goal difference after the first 15 rounds of the Norwegian OBOS-ligaen, Ull/Kisa has a 29:21 goal difference. Sogndal scored 23 goals in eight outings at home, allowing 14 in a return. Ull/Kisa recorded an 11:11 goal difference in seven showings on the road, and four of their previous five road contests saw fewer than three goals in the total.

On the other hand, ten of Sogndal’s 15 games overall produced at least three goals in the total including six contests at home. Sogndal lost at Ull/Kisa 3-0 in their first meeting of the season, so I think the hosts will be keen to get a payoff. Furthermore, three of five H2H matchups had at least three goals in the total, so I’m looking for another high-scoring affair here.

My Pick: Over 2.5 Goals at 1.55
