Daily Football Betting Preview and Picks for Monday, July 29, 2019

Posted by

We were pretty successful with our Sunday’s betting picks, winning five out of six, so we would like to add a couple of more on Monday. Although the market is pretty thin, we have selected a pair of games with quite interesting betting trends and will try to win a two-game parlay.

If you are looking for a straight bet, take the first clash at Olympia in Helsingborg, Sweden.

Helsingborg vs. Orebro

Both Helsingborg and Orebro have 17 points each after the first 16 rounds of Allsvenskan, sitting just above the danger zone. Helsingborg won two of its last four games along with a loss and a draw, while Orebro snapped a three-game skid with a 4-0 home victory over Falkenbergs.

Helsingborg’s last seven games saw two or fewer goals in the total, and the Reds’ defense with Andreas Granqvist onwards did a great job in that span. On the other side, Orebro’s last three games saw three or more goals in the total as well as nine of OSK’s last 13 outings.

When you take a look at their H2H meetings, it’s clear there is an under trending whereas ten of the previous 11 encounters had fewer than three goals in the total. However, I think this is a nice opportunity for a bunch of goals on the scoreboard.

Five of Orebro’s last six games on the road had more than two goals in the total, while Orebro couldn’t record a clean sheet in each but one of its previous 15 tilts on the road. On the other hand, Helsingborg couldn’t score more than a goal in six straight outings at home, and Orebro’s defense should be a chance for the Reds to improve their record.

My Pick: Over 2.5 Goals at 1.80

Pogon Szczecin vs. Arka Gdynia

Honestly, I don’t prefer betting on the Polish Ekstraklasa, but Monday’s games are so unpredictable that I have to go with this one at Stadion Florian Kryger in Szczecin. These two teams will close down the second round of the new season, and Pogon opened with a 2-1 victory at Legia, while Arka lost to Jagiellonia 3-0.

Last season, Pogon defeated Arka 3-2 on the road, while the clash in Szczecin was finished in a 3-3 stalemate. Likewise, Pogon smashed Arka 4-1 in a friendly a month ago, and seven of the last eight H2H matchups including friendlies had three or more goals in the total.

Pogon scored three or more goals in three of its last four home encounters with Arka, so I hope to see at least three goals in the total on this one.

My Pick: Over 2.5 Goals at 1.85
