Even 86 teams will take part in the UEFA Europa League First Qualifying Round 1st Leg on Thursday, and in the following article, we will present you our selection of 22 most exciting games of the day. This is the third part of our list, so have a look at the next six encounters.
We’re opening the third part of our 2019-20 UEFA Europa League First Qualifying Round Betting Preview and Picks list with heavy favorites Malmo and Ballymena. With the miserable 1.05 (-2000) odds on the hosts, backing them to win would be a waste of money. Currently, at the top of Allsvenskan, Malmo are unbeaten in the last 15 competitive matches, and they are a far better team than Ballymena. I’d go with a combo in this one and back Malmo at both first half and full time with over three goals at 1.83 (-120).
A tight affair between Radnik Bijeljina and Trnava is a tilt you would like to avoid if you prefer betting on over total match goals. Each of Radnik’s previous eight home games produced under 2.5 goals while that was the case in each of Trnava’s last seven on the road. I am not such a big fan of playing on under but under 2.5 goals at 1.65 (-154) seems like a little gift for the punters.
The British derby between Welsh side Connahs and Scottish Kilmarnock, shouldn’t be a close encounter, at least on paper. Kilmarnock are undoubtedly a better team, and even though they haven’t scored in the last two friendly games, they did end the Premiership with three wins over Hearths, Hibernian, and Rangers. Anything but Kilmarnock’s victory here would be surprising, and I am backing them at 1.30 (-333).
RFS are visiting Ljubljana to take on Olimpija as massive underdogs, and following five consecutive road games without a win, failing to score in each of them. The Slovenian side have a lot more experience playing European matches, and they suffered only one home loss in nearly two years, so my selection in this one is clear – I am backing Olimpija to win at 1.36 (-278).
Cukaricki are hosting Banants Yerevan as firm favorites at 1.28 (-357) odds, and there is no doubt they have more quality than the Armenians. The visitors are winless in the last six games while the hosts are unbeaten in the previous seven, and even beat a strong Romanian side Astra in the final friendly test. I am convinced Cukaricki will score at least two or three goals here, and that’s why I am backing them to cover the -1.5 spread at 1.90 (-110).
And last but not least, the Hungarian MOL Vidi are going south to meet Zeta in Montenegro, and although they are labeled as 1.55 (-182) favorites, I would be cautious with this one. MOL Vidi indeed are a more experienced team, and they played the group stage of the Europe League last season, managing to stay unbeaten at home against the eventual winner Chelsea. Still, Zeta are a tough side, and they will certainly not give up without a fight, and I expect them to score, that’s why I am going with BTTS at 2.00 (+100).
