Croatia and England are still without waiting for first points at this European Under-21 Championship and they are already out of the competition. This game is not important for classification but the players will be motivated to finally win first points, so we can expect an intriguing duel.

Croatia U21 Team News and Latest Form
Croatia lost their opening two games at this year’s European Under-21 Championship and now they will try to get at least one point before head back home.
A heavy, 4-1 defeat to Romania in the first match surely ruined Croatia’s plans as they were favorites to start the tournament with three points. They were not dangerous in the following game against France, failing to attempt even one shot on target.
Head coach Nenad Gracan will probably make numerous changes for the tilt with the Young Lions and we shouldn’t be surprised if he field entirely new starting eleven. Croatia’s excellent goal-scoring record ended with a 1-0 loss to France and it was the first time since 2013 they failed to score. Still, considering England’s leaky defence, the Young Blazers will likely get back on a scoreboard in this one.
England U21 Team News and Latest Form
England’s disappointing displays at the European Under 21 Championship were not expected as they were the favorites to win the competition. An unlucky opening loss to France shook them up and they couldn’t bounce back against Romania. Once again, England’s defence was disastrous as they conceded silly goals and although they weren’t lucky enough in a tilt with France, there are no excuses for allowing four against Romania.
Aidy Boothroyd will probably coach England for the last time as his sacking is widely expected after the European Under 21 Championship. It looks that Boothroyd struggles to find his starting line-up and it is rather hard to predict who will start in a game against Croatia.
Forward missed a bunch of chances against Romania but the Young Lions still hit the net in each of their previous nine games. Croatia’s leaky defence, is an encouragement for England to score minimum one goal here.
Croatia U21 vs. England U21 Head to Head
These rivals have met on two occasions so far and it was in space of just four days back in October 2014 when England got a couple of identical 2-1 wins.
Croatia U21 vs. England U21 Betting Tip
Both teams disappointed at this tournament but England still have a better side and I am backing them to get a win at 1.57 (-175). If you are not satisfied with these odds, which should be bigger given England’s display in Italy, you can always go with a bit riskier option and back the Young Lions to get three points with both teams scoring at 2.87 (+187).
