We’ll see four exciting semifinal matches in Halle and at the Queen’s Club today including the clash between Roger Federer and Pierre-Hugues Herbert, so let’s take a look at our three-match parlay with the odds at +127 (2.27).
Federer is on the way to his 10th title in Halle, and the former World No. 1 and eight-time Wimbledon champion is listed as a massive -1200 (1.08) fave against Pierre-Hugues Herbert. Roger had a lot of problems over the previous two rounds and needed three sets to eliminate Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Roberto Bautista Agut.
On the other side, Herbert defeated Gael Monfils in straight sets in the opening round and Sergiy Stakhovsky in three sets in the Round of 16, while the Frenchman won his quarterfinal match after Borna Coric had to withdraw due to an injury.
After two tough contests, I expect Federer to dominate this match, so I’m backing him to win in straight sets at -333 (1.30) odds.
At the Queen’s Club, Daniil Medvedev will take on Gilles Simon, while Felix Auger-Aliassime will face off against Feliciano Lopez. Medvedev and Auger-Aliassime are both listed as strong favorites and I think they should meet each other in the championship match.
Medvedev easily outlasted Diego Schwartzman 6-2 6-2 in the previous round, and if he replicates that performance, Gilles Simon shouldn’t stand a chance. Simon’s defensive style of play could make some damage, but it all depends on Medvedev’s aggressive approach.
Auger-Aliassime will have a tricky job against the former Queen’s Club champ Feliciano Lopez. Still, the 18-year old Canadian is enjoying a wonderful season, and he outlasted the top-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets in the quarterfinal.
The 37-year old Spaniard is always a tough rival to beat on the grass court, and Lopez defeated Milos Raonic in three sets yesterday, but I’m backing Auger-Aliassime to continue with his strong performance and reach his fourth final in 2019.
