The holding champions of Europe, Germany, are looking to get another victory and get a step closer to the semis while Serbia are desperate to bounce back from after a disastrous display in the loss to Austria. The Young Eagles are only interested in three points here as only a point would likely mean elimination.

Germany U21 Team News and Latest Form
Germany started the U21 Euros with a 3-1 win over Denmark. Marco Richter scored a brace s before assisting Gian-Luca Waldschmidt for the third goal. Timo Baumgartl conceded a penalty but Stefan Kuntz’s men won the tilt without trouble as they were too strong for the young Danes. Kuntz has plenty of talented players at his disposal and he might be tempted to give more minutes to players such as Florian Neuhaus and Nadiem Amiri.
The Germans continued with a great form and are without a defeat in the previous 13 games, playing just two draws in the span. Kuntz’s side found the back of the net in all but one of their last 18 matches and after what we saw from Serbia’s defence in the opener, it would be a miracle if Germany fails to score in this one. Given the Germans scored a minimum two goals in each of their previous nine games, Serbia will have a tough job to keep the clean sheet.
Serbia U21 Team News and Latest Form
Serbia experienced a poor start at the European Championship following a 2-0 defeat to Austria and displayed a quite forgettable performance. The Young Eagles didn’t even have a single attempt on target and despite hitting the post through Luka Jovic at 1-0 result for Austria, they were far from being dangerous.
Center back Vukasin Jovanovic was sent off for a bad challenge on Austria’s Hannes Wolf and he broke Wolf’s leg in the process, a rather unpleasant sight for the fans and players. Jovanovic will probably be replaced by Srdjan Babic or Svetozar Markovic here.
Serbia were without a defeat in six matches before suffering a loss to Austria and it was the first time following four games they allowed a goal. It is hard to think they will manage to keep the high-flying Germans away from Boris Radunovic’s goal, despite some excellent saves from the keeper against Austria.
Germany U21 vs. Serbia U21 Head to Head
Germany and Serbia faced on two occasions at the U21 European Championship. Germany won 1-0 in 2006 while they shared points in a 1-1 draw in 2015. Emre Can and Filip Djuricic netted goals back then and it’s interesting to note that not even one player from each team from 2015 is playing here in Italy.
Germany U21 vs. Serbia U21 Betting Tip
Serbia’s defence was rather leaky in a defeat to Austria and they can easily concede at least two goals in this one. I expect them to show us a much better display in the offence and score a goal as they are the only team at this Euro without a goal. Germany are strong favorites here but backing them at 1.45 (-223) is only an option if you’re going to add it on your acca. For a bigger profit, we suggest you go with both teams to score and Over 2.5 goals at 2.00 (+100).
