Romania and Croatia are not expected to progress to the semi-finals considering stiff competition in Group C. Still, they will give everything they have to stay in contention but that means neither team will be satisfied with share of points in this one.

Romania U21 Team News
Romania are one of the most inexperienced teams at the 2019 UEFA European Under-21 Championship as this is just their second appearance and first since 1998 when they made it to the quarter-finals. They were quite impressive in qualifications, though, finishing ahead Portugal and ending the stage without a single loss.
Head Coach Mirel Rădoi will lean on Palermo striker George Pușcaș to drive this team forward. Pușcaș is only one goal shy from matching Ionuț Luțu’s record of 15 goals for the U21 National Team. Ianis Hagi, a son of legendary Gheorghe Hagi, is another player who can experience a breakout tournament.
Romania U21 Latest Form
Romania are in a solid form of five victories, one draw, and one defeat in the last seven games and that only loss came to Spain. The Little Tricolours beat Denmark in the final test match before this tournament while they dominated their qualification group and got 24 points from ten games, two more than Portugal.
Croatia U21 Team News
Croatia qualified for the European Under-21 Championship for the first time since 2004 and they are still looking to advance to the knockout stage. It’s a big probability they will miss out on the semis here as well, considering the tough competition from England and France. The Young Blazers finished the qualification phase at the top of the group with same points as Greece but with a better goal difference, and therefore, directly qualified for the tournament in Italy.
Head coach Nenad Gračan has several talented individuals to work with and some of them can become stars in the future. Nikola Vlašić, Josip Brekalo, and Marin Jakoliš combined for 17 goals in qualifications while captain Alen Halilović and Marseille defender Duje Ćaleta-Car also played a big part in the last two years.
Croatia U21 Latest Form
After going two matches without a win, Croatia beat Denmark thanks to an injury-time goal from Toma Bašić. An incredible fact is that Croatia scored in each of their last 39 games and the last time they failed to hit the net was in November 2013 when they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Switzerland. They lost only one game out of the previous ten, again to Switzerland.
Romania U21 vs. Croatia U21 Head to Head
Romania and Croatia never faced before and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them going into this clash with caution because they don’t know each other well. Still, I am sure they will not encounter any trouble when it comes to scoring goals.
Romania U21 vs. Croatia U21 Betting Tip
Croatia’s 39 straight matches with at least one goal means it’s going to be hard for the Romanians to keep a clean sheet in this one. On the other hand, Romania scored in seven of their previous eight games and backing both teams to score at 1.75 (-135) is certainly an attractive option to bet on. Additionally, if you prefer playing on the full-time result, you can go and back Croatia at 2.10 (+110), as they have more individuals that can decide the clash with a single move.
